Last weekend my wife, mira and myself were in KL. I was away for four days in a row from last Friday attending Technology Business Review Award @ Perdana International Convention Centre (PICC) @ Putrajaya. Wow, what a Building ! I was amazed over the design of this modern architecture as if like "ala ultraman" - used to be my whooo tv favourite during my childhood in the 70s!
My boss had the award on stage on behalf of our reknown company and I managed to capture the moment via my N95... as if ala grammy award style to be kept for my year end pay rise etc :) some said those awards are being paid for. don't now whether it's true or not. The truth, we paid RM 10,000 for two table - not cheap ok without entertainment some more.
Before that managed to "curi masa" to visit my father at Shah Alam. His condition looked NOT good. Passed my magnetic bracelet for him to wear. The next day he claimed reduced his wee-wee round from 10 to 7. Pray he is accepting the reality of life cycle and may the Almighty bless him now and thereafter.
We stayed at Sheraton Subang last Friday at the expense of my company - my entitlement ok. Then the next day had lunch with Ayah, Mak, Iman, Syimir at Shah Alam. Mon prepared one of her killer menu, Nasi Ayam special. Mon's dream is to have her own chain of restaurant across Malaya one of these day. Of course, I'll be the main shareholder by then.
Cikgu Lin, my sister & her husband, Aman invited for dinner at her place. She just gave birth to another baby boy last Ramadhan. Cutee Mohd Hakim is our new family member born on 18 September 2007. This time around, the looks more "melayu" than his elder brother, Mohd Haziq.
We spent one night at Ixora Resort, the new residential area bought by Lin & Aman - quiet & very cooling in the morning. Sunday morning we had "nasi minyak trengganu" for breakfast. What a change ! Aman went to work by 9am the same morning. I snoozed from late morning until zohor. Didn't finished watching "Jangan Pandang Belakang".
Then, we rushed to Jay's open house in Cheras @ Bulatan Kg Pandan. jay is my college's buddy and doing well in his business. He married quite late, my eldest now 15 vs his 10. He has 4 children vs 1 for myself. We enjoyed the food very much - really yummy yummy....
Met Ina, his wife and their children, Adam, Hakim & Dana. Also met Shake, Fiza & Irfan. Min, Jay's younger brother looked losing weight. Yani, his other brother was not around, busy doing his toys business @ Amcorp, PJ.
By 4pm, we left for Btk Jelutong, Shah Alam for tea @ my School mate, Eddy Wong when I was studying in La Salle, PJ. Nice neighbourhood, met his wife, Joyce and his eldest child, Ethoo. I once acted together in an english drama with him late 70s. Eddy is also my colleague now for more than 7 years already. What a samll world!
He took us around as we are looking for small apartment - Ellise & walk-up type. Plan to own the like as transit point whenever we are in KL. No need to disturb our relative everytime we are in KL. Thanks Eddy for your kind hospitality - you're cool man...
My brother in-law Anis called eda my wife asking what was our dinner plan? We ended up had dinner @ Marce, The Curve. Mira had enjoyed the session very much something difference than what we have in Penang.
We supposed to leave for Penang o Sunday evening but decided to stay on one more night @ Adik's place at UPM, Serdang. Thanks Adik & family to have us as your guests. You sure will pass your mandarin paper with flying colours!
On Monday morning we left for Penang from Serdang at about 10:30am. Had late breakfast at Sg Buluh Jejantas Burger King then lunch at Mee Rebus Ramli. Stop by BJ and my wife had new assigment to get rid of termites etc.
By 7:30pm, we safely back to KM, Georgetown and Zzzzzzzzzzz.
Thanks to everyone while we were in KL especially, Ayah, Mak, Mon, Lin & Aman, Jay&Ina, Eddy&Joyce and last but not least, Adik & Family. May God bless you all & see you again next round.
